The Vanguard online sports news of February 13th 2018 cited the recent polo tournament held in Lagos, the 2018 Lagos International Polo Tournament held at the popular Lagos polo club in Ikoyi. The event was dated from 14th to 18th February, & 21st to 25th February 2018.
According to the news, the contest was expected to feature some foreign players which their names include Martin Juaregi, Augustine Canale, Juan Cruz Guebera, Manuel Crespo all from Argentina; Mario Gomez, Spain and Leroux Hendricks from South Africa, among others.
It also featured four selected cups which are Italian Ambassador’s Cup, Oba of Lagos Cup, Churchward Plate and Chargoury Bowl. Whereas the major cups that Nigeria and the foreign players competed for at the event were the Silver Cup, Open, Low and the Majekodunmi Cup.
